ACCEPTED!!! HUZZAH! RARARARARAR. NOMNOMNOM!

Congratulations everyone, and I will see you all next year!

Deferred.

Congrats to those who got in HAHA!!!

I’ll keep pursuing this school until the last card is played. If I can’t get in after that, then what do I have to lose?

Remind me NEVER to take 16 AP + IB + 9 Honors classes again. It did nothing but bomb my GPA and shoot me down to deferral.

But it doesn’t matter. I’m pulling off a 4.7/4.8 GPA this semester so if they want to see my semester grades to reconsider me, I’ll mail them a freakin’ diamond.

BRING IT ON, REGULAR DECISION POOL!

I’ll make it my task to tell future students to NOT challenge themselves PAST their limits like what I did. 16 college classes + 9 honors is not that cool, especially when others with like <7 AP who worked a lot less got in.

Oh well… It’s all my fault!

Congrats everyone!

Accepted… and I feel sooo happy…

Melin, honestly don’t worry about it… the fact that they deferred you means that they want to see your senior grades and if you’re doing well, you will have a good chance in the Regular Decision Pool!

Congrats everyone! :D

Accepted!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Congratulations to All you who got accepted!
my friend was just accepted to Emory.

yaya…now i have to pay a ton of money but still very happy ^^

Where are all you guys from?? I’m from Canada.

Congratulations to everyone. I’m a junior, so I’ve got ways to wait : (. For those who have been accepted, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind posting your stats (from gpa to SAT/ACT to ECs - everything), I’d appreciate it. Thanks

Also - I noticed that Emory considers very much “level of applicant’s interest” into their admission decision. To those who got in (or not), did you visit the school/talk to a rep/anything? Thanks

Congrats to all of you! Welcome to the Emory family.

I noticed there are already 3 different Facebook groups for the Emory Class of 2014. Last year’s Class of 2013 ran into a “scam” problem on Facebook, many schools had this issue. Not sure which is the “real” group but be careful what information you give out in the group you join.
I felt that my essays were really unique and well-written.
And I did get accepted and displayed alot of demonstrated interest. I met and had conversations about Emory with my local admissions counselor. I attended two high school visits, a local reception, and visited the campus. The commonapp also had a section where you check if you know people associated with the school and I had quite a few to check off.

Hope this helps!

You all must have like super intelligence or something. I’m just an average-intelligence person working his freakin’ butt off. Not cool, I wish I was born with more raw intelligence like high IQ. This “life is unfair” thing is starting to get me to for the first ime…

i visited three times and talked to a number of reps.
