<p>Remind me NEVER to take 16 AP + IB + 9 Honors classes again. It did nothing but bomb my GPA and shoot me down to deferral.</p>
<p>But it doesn’t matter. I’m pulling off a 4.7/4.8 GPA this semester so if they want to see my semester grades to reconsider me, I’ll mail them a freakin’ diamond. </p>

<p>I’ll make it my task to tell future students to NOT challenge themselves PAST their limits like what I did. 16 college classes + 9 honors is not that cool, especially when others with like <7 AP who worked a lot less got in. </p>

<p>I noticed there are already 3 different Facebook groups for the Emory Class of 2014. Last year’s Class of 2013 ran into a “scam” problem on Facebook, many schools had this issue. Not sure which is the “real” group but be careful what information you give out in the group you join.<br>

<p>I’ve been a part-time sushi chef for about a year and a half.
I felt that my essays were really unique and well-written.
And I did get accepted and displayed alot of demonstrated interest. I met and had conversations about Emory with my local admissions counselor. I attended two high school visits, a local reception, and visited the campus. The commonapp also had a section where you check if you know people associated with the school and I had quite a few to check off.</p>
