Emory ed1 class of 2020

You know what’s getting me by? Lots of music and food. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m guessing any college likes legacies. I know of one legacy who applied EDII to Emory and got in, but she was well qualified. Let’s not stress about anything; whatever happens, happens :slight_smile:

at this point im crying… LOL… so if you applied to both oxford and emory you should get 2 letters on OPUS?

@greenway1234
I am a double legacy(I also bank on it a little to calm my nerves). I am under the impression that legacy is considered more than some other colleges; as legacies receive hand written acceptance letters in the mail along with their acceptance packets after decisions have been released online.

@Izaaac @greenway1234 what states are you guys from?

.

New York

Tennessee

Georgia!

@Izaaac I knew that accepted students got hard copy acceptance letters but I had no idea legacies got hand written ones too! Who signs it, the dean or the counselor?

My phone keeps autocorrecting everything. I am from Mississippi.

I am not sure on the details of the letter I am just aware of them. My guess would be the admissions counselor

So to pass the time do you guys want to play a game (in a non horror movie way)?
Let’s get to know each other better through interesting questions!

  1. what is your favorite movie?

Right now mine is Christmas with the Kranks (I’ve watched it like 6 times this December)

Mine is Titanic, but I’ve only seen the whole thing once because I always watch the happy parts until the boat hits the iceberg then I stop.

My favorite movie is Argo. I’m also from Georgia if we are still saying what state we are from.

Alright!

  1. what was the last book you read that was for personal pleasure and not for school?

The last book I read was “Inferno” by Dan Brown. I started All the Light We Cannot See after that but didn’t get to finish it because I had to read a few books for school. Wish I had it with me right now so I could finish it!

guys… do you get two letters if u applied both oxford and emory

@Kostt2000 I think so, yes
If not they will definitely tell you specifically your decision to each school even if it is in the same letter.

I’m from Georgia as well. My favorite movie is 500 Days of Summer (I love indie flicks and Joesph-Gordon Levitt), and I honestly can’t remember the last time I read a book for pleasure because I just have so many assigned readings. The last book I read regardless was for AP Micro… A Harvard economist used “economic analysis” to solve a murder mystery. It was as dumb as it sounds lol.
