Emory ed1 class of 2020

Ok so maybe I have more quirks than I thought. I’ve used the same pencil for the last 7 years. And I’m superstitious too! Like my keyboard battery was dying so I changed it real quick so it didn’t have the chance to die when I checked my decision, because that would be a bad omen lol

Hey guys! I’m a little late in the game, but I really need to pass the time until our decision release. Okay, so I’m from Florida, my favorite movie is Heathers, the last book I read for pleasure was The Program by Suzanne Young, the one thing I’m definitely bringing with me to college is a pair of headphones/earbuds, and I’m drawing a blank for quirky habits even though I know I have some. Good luck to everyone by the way!

Welcome @lexiaar! Happy to have you hear. I can’t wait to get my MacBook for college and get free Beats headphones with them. I think one of my favorite movies is The Avengers Age of Ultron.

  1. what is your favorite city in the US?

Mine is NYC, my parents met there and i love the food and culture. My favorite parts are Manhattan and Jackson heights

@NeuroDude I was gonna wait to get my MacBook until I got into college but I got such a good deal on it! I got to double dip and get the new MacBook with the beats plus like a 10% discount because of my work. It was great and it’s so nice to use, totally worth it.

@NeuroDude i love the avengers but j really can’t wait for captain America civil war

My favorite city is NYC too! I live in North Jersey so NYC has always been my home (30 minutes away) from home. I love everything about it but it’s a rough city to live in haha

I really love New York City and Los Angeles.

Yeah, New York City is super expensive to live in. But there is always so much to do there.

I’m super OCD, too. I actually wrote one of my essays about how I used to struggle a lot with it. and @lexiaar I love that movie too!! Really makes you think…

Favorite U.S. city would have to be San Francisco, although I’m going to NYC for Christmas and I love it as well

I love NYC during Christmas time! Even though I’m Jewish. It is always decorated so nicely and Rockefeller Square is a spectacle to be rivaled with, between the ice skating, flags, and giant tree.

  1. if you had the chance to go anywhere in the world for your senior trip, where would you go?

For me, it’s gonna have to be a tour of Italy and Greece. Oh, or the maldives

I want to go to New Zealand and Australia!

I would love to go to India or Morocco. Anywhere sounds great! Do you guys have senior class trips because my school doesn’t

Guys, our favorite city is supposed to be Atlanta!!! C’mon

haha, wish I could say that! Then Emory would be even more perfect. Atlanta is sick though; I just can’t look at any city the same after having such a connection with New York :stuck_out_tongue:

Im bored of nyc since i lived here for so long lol

Atlanta is a really great city, but I must say it’s not as impressive as some others I’ve visited in the States. I think it’s one of the nicest for college, though. It’s big, but not overwhelmingly big, and it has a relatively cheaper cost of living than a lot of other cities.

And, I’m not sure where I’d go if I could go anywhere for my senior trip. My grandparents just said I could choose anywhere in Europe, so I really want to see Vienna and Budapest. And my school doesn’t have any exclusive senior trips, but they have general trips for students to D.C. and Europe I think. All of them are insanely expensive, though.
