So does anyone know how many people applied Oxford ED1? I’m really curious now because of that email ppl got giving them a chance to apply after the deadline. Oxfords only been doing ED for the last 4 years I beleive, and received around 400 something apps last year…
I got the email too. But I choose regular decision for oxford. You dont have to choose ed1

However, emory always says they choose that time so we can be home with our families…so maybe it’ll be 6pm your time too? That would help OPUS volume too
I have heard that a few schools have been releasing decisions earlier than expected. Is there any chance Emory will release before the 15th?
2 years ago, they found out on the 13th so it’s possible, although I think they will stick to the 15th
I think they will stick with the 15th. The 13th would be a Sunday so the dean wouldn’t be there to give the final nod (which I found out he does through their admission blog post) and then they release. they probably won’t do the Friday before because it’s too early. So they might do the 14th? But I seriously doubt it. I think the 15th is solid
They just asked me to submit music supplements… I’m glad they’re considering me, but it makes me nervous that I only get five days to send it! 
hmm. i just found out emory converts gpa differently… sighs… well there goes my chances

@Kostt2000 I think every school has to convert GPA because each school has a different way of calculating it. Schools have 100 points, 10 points, letter grades, 4 points, and probably other kinds too.
As far as I know, emory adjusts it to a 4.0 scale. But i don’t know if they add quality points for AP/IB
@Oliea98 that’s awesome! Is your major music oriented or is it a big part of your application? I turned in a writing portfolio as a supplement, but I’m not majoring in that field, it’s just a part of who I am.

I’m starting to get really nervous for the 15th. The scary part is that some of our fates may have already been decided and we just won’t find out for 11 days. That’s the worst feeling. I am also glued to all the different apparel options I am ready to order that night if I get in.
@NeuroDude : Don’t do the apparel thing yet haha. You may become one of those, what I think are fools, wearing apparel for another elite university at a good or elite university which actually happens at Emory and is often not for an affiliation in the immediate family (sometimes, but rarely it is). Wait and see if you’re admitted and then get excited for those types of things.
they apparently ignore all plus and minus signs and just uses letter grade
