@collegeisme12
Low Reach/Reach
Do you know your UW GPA?

@wkknc5
Low Reach, Fairly low Rank

@sugarz
Emory,Duke,UVA- Match/High Match
UF,UCF- Safey

Thank you @VANDEMORY1342 . Since I’m new here…does low reach mean it’s not a “match” but a reasonable possibility? And when you say fairly low rank, do you mean being in the top 20%? thank you!

School doesn’t calculate UW, but based on my own calculations, it’s around a 3.5 - my school really doesn’t weight heavily - will colleges take this into account? Or will they just see weighted GPA and be turned off?

Also, do you think I should send senior grades first quarter with 2 B’s (both in APs) given that sophomore and junior were all A’s but freshman very low? Would senior grades help or hurt me?

@VANDEMORY1342 (see above comment)

For those inquiring about interviews, I spoke with my admissions counselor who told me that while they will be occurring, they are not very common and only available if alumni are in the state. Not all applicants ED/RD will be extended an interview nor will it impact your admissions by any means if you do not receive one.

ahh is anyone else really scared about getting their decision? i downloaded a countdown app on my phone just to keep track of the number of days left until december 15. i wish we could all get in!

@VANDEMORY1342 Hahaha sorry for the late response but yeah, I’m a recruited athlete (or however close you can get to that with Division III). I’m hoping to study linguistics and political science.

@runnergamer17 hey! i am also applying to emory (RD though) and run cross country. how do they go about the recruiting process? did you reach out or they did? also, for d3, how do you go about committing etc?

also, you dont have to share, but what are your times like? i’m sure i’m not good enough to be recruited but just was curious. :slight_smile:

@runnergamer17
Don’t rA’s know their decision before the other students? I hope it works out for you. The linguistics department is great, several classes are cross listed with the Human Hlth department.

I meant 6 APs total. I cannot count. lol

Do we know what time the ED notifications come out on the 15th? I cannot find it anywhere.
