Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Basically: Cross Country/Track (Leader, I was successful enough to be recruited by Emory), Debate (captain, did pretty well), State House of Representatives Page, County Youth Commission, Band (Section Leader), NHS (volunteering), Knowledge and Quiz Bowl (team captain)- these are the ones that mattered for my app.

Volunteer/Community service: Token 100 hours for NHS and other requirements, nothing of substance
Essays (rating 1-10, details): (9) I worked pretty dang hard on these, and I tried my best to display who I am as a citizen and learner.
Recommendations (rating 1-10, details): (6) I ended up seeing one of my lors and it wasn’t that great (all of my teachers liked me, but they didn’t really write an effective letter), not sure about the other one.
