I am applying to several schools for RD but Emory is my first, first choice out of all. I wouldn't mind doing ED2 do at all except for the fact that Emory accepts January SAT score for RD but not for ED2. (This was the reason I didn't do ED 1 and now I am doing the same thing again.....).

I have 2000+ on my SAT. I know this is not a terrible score but I feel that this score is really not good enough for emory AND I am an international student which makes things harder.

Applying as ED2, would this make a difference? What should I do? Should I just apply for ED2 with this score or apply for RD and take January test and get a better score if I can?(2100+).
Help!

If you are on the edge of getting in just because your SAT score, chances are they won’t reject you, you will either be accepted or deferred. If you are deferred you can send your SAT score in then. If you are rejected chances are a little bit higher SAT score wouldn’t have helped anyway. Just a thought, hope that helps!!

I agree with laneyjaney92: SAT scores are not the deciding factor for a decision. Your gpa and class rigor are probably the two most important factors regarding your decision. At this point, I would make sure that everything else on your application is perfect and go with ED2 if it’s your number one choice.
