1st member of my family to go to college
top 10% of my class
Emory is my first choice. What are my chances if I applied ED 1 and possibly have some pull with sports
That 3.5 is killing you and the 1890 (this is in fact below the 25% of matriculates, not even admits which have even higher scores) will not help either unless you have some relevant standardized test scores that can make up for it. If fortunate, you may get in, but I wouldn’t say your chances are 50% (perhaps much less) unless your AP scores (if you have any yet) compensate for it. Those essays and rec. letters need to be on point for you to have any real chance beyond luck
@bernie12 I know that my scores are low, but do you think the other parts of my app will help? I know my college essay was good ( about the death of my mother and how that caused me to transition into adulthood), and my letters I’m not sure because I cannot view them. I assume they were good because my teachers liked me, and I did well in their classes. My supplement was also pretty good, and I have a bit of pull from the xc coach.
Also applied ED1, how do I stand?
