So I was taken off the wait list a week ago, but there have such hassles with the financial aid. The person handling my package emailed me and asked for 3 things, that HAD to be sent in my March 30.

One of them, the Federal Verification worksheet I had to resend because under family I had only put me and my sister.

The other, a form to be sent to New York University so they could verify that my sister went there. But NYU could not give priority to it, and there was no chance in hell that NYU's financial aid office could give it to Emory by March 30.

The third was the S-Corporation Tax Income form, and I (stupidly) sent in the wrong thing, but then realized my mistake and found out what I needed to send in was a 4-page thing that my dad hadn't done yet. So we quickly did it but we sent it in June 2, the Monday after March 30.

But so far, I have heard nothing from Emory. I emailed the financial aid office several times updating them as I went through the process, but no one has emailed me back. Today I emailed the person who told me I was off the wait list, so hopefully she can clear things up.

While I did make mistakes, I am sort of angered if they can't or will give me less than what I actually need. While I was able to get the Federal Verification Form in on time, the other 2 documents were never part of the original financial aid process. I'm sort of annoyed that they had to have NYU verify that my sister goes to their school and that I had to turn in this S-Corporation Income Tax thing when these two forms were originally never things they required (correct me if I'm wrong).

(The reason Emory wants NYU's verification is because my sister has been there 4 years, but is taking another semester there to complete a double major.)

But does this mean Emory can't give me financial aid? Are they going to give me less?
