EMORY FINANCIAL AID DOCUMENTS?! helpp

My TO DO LIST on OPUS says I'm missing:

10-11 Verification Statement

and

10-11 Student 2009 Tax Return

I filled out the verification statement, so I can send that in. But I'm not required to fill a tax return form - so what do i do with the missing student tax return?

I have the same issue. Unfortunately after giving them a call, numerous e-mails, and faxing it over multiple times, they’re still indicating that I’m missing the information that I sent in. :frowning: The replies I’ve gotten were that they were still ‘sorting’ it out…I would give them a call and be stern about it since it’s so late in the month. I’ll be doing that on Monday.

Did you fill out your Student Non-Tax Filer Form?

airegin - That’s my problem, I don’t know where to find the Non-filing form for students… I only have the verification form…

It should be on IDOC

Okay, I don’t know if this is just me being stupid, but why does Emory require both the 10-11 Verification Statement and 10-11 Verif Stmt Section A? Isn’t Section A just basic info (name, address, etc)? They’ve repeatedly been sending me e-mails saying that’s missing, when I mailed it once a long time ago, and again just this past week. I think I filled out the whole statement though. Do they literally just want Section A? It doesn’t make sense to me.

Ugh I’m basically having the same problem and it’s ridiculous that I don’t know whether they accepted me or not. I just got about the 8th email about this tonight. I guess I’ll call tomorrow.

yeah I got another email just now. it’s so frustrating ugh. they keep telling me i’m missing my 2009 student tax return, but I don’t file taxes and they don’t have a non-filing form on their website…

SAME SAME SAME ughhhhh

I just sent a note saying I didn’t file taxes when I sent in parent tax stuff

aluminum boat - so does sending a note work? Do I just write them a short note that I’m legally not require to file taxes and sign it?

Yep it worked for me. Maybe have your dad sign it too. And of course put your social security on it so they know who you are

Wait. Do we need to send anything to IDOC for Emory Financial Aid? I thought it was just the CSS and FAFSA. My to-do list says everything is complete and I did not send in any forms.
