Emory Financial Aid

The Financial Aid link was activated today in my OPUS account. You can get to this by logging into OPUS, clicking Finances, then View My Financial Aid, then 2007 for the aid year.

My financial aid link was also activated. However, the page reported that I had not received any financial aid. Are they still in the process of determining FA packages?

I clicked on the aid link and nothing happened. ?????

It says I didn't get any aid either. Anyone out there go through this link and see something different?

Yeah mine says "You have no financial aid awards available for viewing in this aid year." I sure hope that's just a generic message and they haven't updated it yet, cause I definitely need SOME money from them if I want to attend...

Mine says:
Federal Unsub Stafford Loan 1

With amounts and it is broken down by term. It was comparable to other aid offers from other schools I have heard back from.

I just called the Financial Aid office and asked them, "I was accepted and when I go onto OPUS and click Financial Aid it says that I have no award packages for the 2006-2007 school year, so does that mean I'm not being offered any financial aid?" And she said "No, it just means it hasn't been put up yet. We'll send letters to inform you."
So who knows...I don't know why mine would say "none" and some people's would say "Stafford Loan" or whatever....but I guess I'll have to wait for the letter.
I thought Emory gave really good financial aid?? Can anyone attest to that???

Emory met my total financial need as calculated by the FAFSA with grants only (no loans because my parents didn't want any) and I believe most rewards are renewable for all four years as long as you maintain a 3.0 (?) GPA. :-)

My son's link to financial aid show an $2625 unsubsidized Stafford loan. Wooopy. That doesn't go very far toward paying $44,000 cost of attendance.

Still no aid according to OPUS.

Hey. I got one of those financial aid emails, too.

Does that mean I was accepted to the school? (I haven't gotten my letter.)

no i think it's basic procedure for all applicants to get a financial aid email. my classmate got one and she got rejected.

I DIDN'T get a financial aid e-mail, and I got in...
