Hi, I have heard a lot about Emory financial aid consisting mainly of loans for its loan cap and other programs. It states the range for income is 50k-100k. The calculator on their website said that my net price would be 0. If my family of four makes less than 15k a year, will I be okay? This is my first choice school and I want to do ED2. My parents are divorced and my mother does not know English, please help. Hope everyone had a good holiday break.
Emory includes the Direct Loans in its financial aid packages. For freshman year, that is $5500.
The net price calculator will NOT be accurate for you because your parents are divorced.
Emory will want your non-custodial parent information. What does that other parent earn?
Personally, I would suggest regular decision. You need to be able to compare bottom line net costs. You have significant financial issues.
I sure hope you applied before December 1 to some schools with guaranteed merit aid for your stats.
Emory will want your non-custodial parent’s info, for sure, and they will take his (her?) income into account, to a degree.
