Emory- Goizueta B-school overrated?

Looking at the business week rankings, the b-school at Emory seems a little bit overrated. I am seriously considering attending Emory, and every time I've visited/attended an info session, they've pushed and pushed about the prestige of the B-school. So... is Goizueta grossly overrated by businessweek? If so, does the magazine's high ranking signal a momentum gain?

its a good school, but i would say its a tad overrated, much like the university.

Can you explain what exactly makes it overrated for both the business school and the school itself?

All schools are subject to the same methodology. The only way to claim a school is overrated is if you find flaw in the methodology. Otherwise all schools are subject to the same criteria and the rankings are just the rankings. My advice is to research why the school is ranked highly and then decide whether you agree or disagree with the measures. If you are concerned solely with perceived prestige, I recommend looking at the Peer Assessment scores USNWR provides in their ranking of undergraduate b-schools.

Businessweek is more of a measure of student satisfaction than prestige. As jkh said, if you want prestige rankings, go to USNews. The ranking of undergrad bschools in terms of getting students top jobs is much more in line with USNews than Businessweek.

Does anyone know the acceptance rate (roughly) for students attending emory who then apply to goizueta after their sophmore year?
