Yes, my SAT is low. I am not a strong test-taker as I am easily distracted. On my raw score I got very few answers incorrect, my problem was running out of time. I am not retaking the test as I do not expect a significant change.

My ACT is estimated, scores not to come in for another month or so.

Applied to both schools, interview scheduled at GW this month.

A full list of the schools I applied to, chances appreciated:

Emory
George Washington
American
William & Mary
Pittsburgh
UW Seattle
UM College Park (In-State)

Bump.

As said, will chance back.

I don’t know enough about most of these schools to offer advice but the standardized test scores will hurt (you’re not the only bad test taker out there though). ECs are impressive and colleges will understand the homeschool thing. Hopefully ECs and GPA can make up for the ACT and SAT.
Emory: High Match/ Low Reach
GW: Match

omg Maryland buddies

GPA and ECs are pretty amazing. My brother recently graduated from American, and he was way less-qualified than you (sorry big bro!) in all areas, even got a $20k scholarship (and we are a fairly affluent upper-middle class family). I think AU is a low match if their standards haven’t changed too much. Same for UMD.

GW is a match, same for W&M, and I’m afraid I don’t know the other schools very well. But best of luck!

I feel like all are matches, but somehow WM might be a low reach. Do still apply! Also, amazing extracurriculars ! I wish I had those, but I did what I’m interested in. Chance back please :)

Thanks all so far. Bump.

They all seem to be in the match range… I dont know much about the schools, but WM and Emory are probably low reaches. I think you have a really big chance of getting into American. Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1560512-chances-linguistics-comp-sci.html

^ Got to yours first L.

Emory is a slight reach… GW is low match. Only problem is sat scores but with your ec’s and essays you should be set.

Emory: High Match
George Washington: Match
American: Low Reach
William & Mary: Match

Those are the only ones I know. Chance me here:

Emory: Reach
GW: Match-High Match
American: Match
William and Mary: High Match
Pittsburgh: Low Match
UW Seattle: High Match (assuming out of state)
UMDCP: Low Match

Just a note to anyone else: W&M is ED with a supplement essay that I believe deserves a movie deal. Please give chances that fit to that.

Emory: High Match, GW: Match. Everything looks great except SAT scores…

Nightly bump.

Emory-high match/reach (everything is fantastic except your standardized test scores)
George Washington-match
American-match
William & Mary-match
Pittsburgh-safety
UW Seattle-match
UM College Park (In-State)-match
