I got into Emory and Tufts, but only visited Tufts. I'm undecided as to my major, but am into humanities. I've only visited Tufts and loved it. I love city life but also want a community, I think both schools have that. I've heard that Emory students are kind of superficial and hard to become friends with. Is this true at all? Which school has better academics? Is Emory's social life ok if you're not in a frat?

They're both comparable in terms of academics, the humanities are good at both schools, and I have heard that of the superficiality of Emory, but there's obviously some of that at Tufts as well. Honestly, between the two, it becomes a battle between north and south, lol...you either want Boston and the NE or Atlanta and the south...

my friend got into Emory and Cornell but Cornell wanted her to wait one semester. She went to Emory to see if she liked it - in the end she thought it was nice but she had no problems leaving for Cornell. That suggests that the ties she had made to Emory weren't as good as the possibility of making friends at Cornell.

souds great, thanks so much. I've decided I'm off to Tufts! yay
