Emory or University of Georgia?

I am planning to transfer to Emory or University of Georgia, and I am majoring in biology, hoping to get in to any medical schools. I got an acceptance letter from both schools.

Since I am an international student, my tuition is almost same for both schools. I heard that medical schools don't mind a lot about schools, but they look more GPAs. So I was wondering, is Emory extremely hard that even if you try, it's impossible to get good GPAs?

Also, I heard that some medical schools give little advantage when one studies undergraduate in their college. Is Emory that type of school? or give no advantages to its own undergrad student?

I'm not smart, I had okay GPAs so far. So please give me an advice on which school to choose, or a plus or minus factor for both schools. Thank you very much.

I’m sure that medical schools consider the undergraduate university that you attend when they review your application for medical school. Both schools are good and you might decide that one school is a better fit than the other. However, US News & World Report ranked Emory at #17 and University of Georgia at #58 among national universities, so it would be unusual for someone to then pick the lower ranked school, especially when the financial aspect is about equal. Does anyone turn down Harvard to attend a community college, figuring that a higher GPA will look better? I don’t think so.

Emory has a lot of people going into premed and their science departments are fantastic. The Emory hospital, CDC and Yerkes National Primate Center is also right by campus.
