Emory RD 2025

Accepted

35 with 36 superscore
4.35 weighted GPA- all dual enrollment for Jr/Sr yrs
Heavy Stem focus
Research internship but not self directed research
lots and lots of community service
clubs like medical explorers, NHS, MAT, NHS, Key, with leadership roles

Weaknesses: he had a trash freshman year. For future applicants he even failed a core class freshman year (with a very compelling reason but still). Don’t be disheartened if everything is not perfect. His rigor the last 3 years shows he overcame it too

Strengths: his essays, his LORs

He will not be accepting his place so hopefully someone gets off the waitlist from it! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

That’s awesome-

for those that got in, did you demonstrate interest by touring or going to a local recruiting session or anything like that? apparently emory said the people on the waitlist typically match the academic creds of those that got in but didn’t show any special interest in emory

Nah… not much demostrated interest, Although attanded couple of virtual admission sessions.

Accepted at Oxford and waitlisted by Emory with a 31 act

My Son Got in SAT 1500 to Oxford. Did not demonstrate any interest. Have to research a bit abt Oxford Vs Emory. OOS for us

My son was accepted to both. Submitted SAT score of 1530, no interview.

The email Emory sent the other day said FA would be released 24-48 hours after decisions came out.

Good luck to all!

same

Wl Emory, Rejected Oxford

HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

1430 SAT - 3.92/4 W

@JtaylorDIGUA Financial info will be released 24-48 hours after the acceptance results

Daughter got waitlisted but she visited the campus, official tour, etc…

Waitlist 4.2 weighted, AP scholar with distinction, 4.0 unweighted. 34 ACT/35 superscore, great ECs and leadership, but so-so CommonApp essay. Other essays good.

D21 accepted to Oxford but for January 2022 admission (spring semester 2022). Nothing in the letter about merit aid, but she was not selected as a Scholars finalist so…

How are some people waitlisted to both?:joy: I wonder if it has to do with your specific program
