Yep, me too @jchow10
I did!! Finally some news
It’s now posted on Instagram! Regular Decision at 3/22 at 6pm EST
They must have finished recently. I don’t know why colleges dont just release the day after the finalize all decisions.
But anyway T-MINUS 7 DAYS!!
just got in a little early because I was invited to the Essence program! thought I should post because I found the email in my promotions folder and would have missed it otherwise! 4.19 W Gpa 3.93 uW 1470 SAT in case anyone was curious! good luck to everyone on the 22nd:)
@keeks101 when did you get the email invite to Essence? Thx
3:06 PST @Volunteerism
@keeks101 Congrats! I already visited Emory late last year as part of their CORE fly-in program
Me too!! @keeks101 1560 SAT and 4.25 W GPA.
I got in too! I honestly dont know how with the 1290 sat abd a 28 ACT and a 4.14 gpa. I allpied to business and i am out of state!!
um…should i be concerned if i’m a URM/low-income/first-generation student and didn’t get invited to essence of emory? i’m in-state if that matters
@englishchamomile : No, doesn’t matter. Some people get invited later like on the release date if admitted.
Accepted!! (I know because of Essence) 3.8 GPA and 30 ACT.
Hi im new but i just got accepted into Emory because of Essence. I have a 3.9 unweighted and 4.2 weighted and my SAT was 1250
@ljberkow She expressed a desire to do an alumni interview but she wasn’t contacted. Last summer she attended one of their pre-college programs so hopefully that helps!
Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but what is Essence?
@Hiddle
Fly-in program for admitted URM, and other underrepresented students.
@VANDEMORY1342 Thank you!
@Philsgal The purpose of the interviews is to get to know applicants better. If your daughter attended an Emory summer program, then they probably got to know her. My instinct is that they consider all of the kids who participate in those programs to be serious about Emory and they probably track those participants and learn about them at that time. I really don’t think you need a call to the dean of admissions or the regional admissions representative. Good luck to your daughter.
Emory is releasing decisions the same day as Boston college!!! SUPER NERVOUS
