I think I have a good chance of getting in but what are my chances for becoming and Emory Scholar?

What is an Emory Scholar? Is this a scholarship?

Jesus that's a huge jump in your SAT, nice job. You beat me, I went from a 1390 to a 2250 also.

Emory Scholars are given half to full tuition as well as tickets to concerts, local sports games, and first pick of dorm rooms,

Seems like they have a cut off for SAT scores and then it's anybody's guess. I understand last years cut off was ~1530, so don't know what it will be with the new SATs

where did you read that?

I didn't read it anywhere, and I don't think it is an official number. Just my perceptions based on who became scholars last year. The most consistent factor seemed to be high SAT and I think they were all at least 1530, plus someone on this forum said they use SAT's as their first cut off and then look at other things to decide who gets offered scholarships. My daughter had a 1550, 4.0 uw gpa and lots of diverse ec's. She got a full tuition scholarship.

how does she like it
