Do you think they’ll e-mail notifying you that your decision is on the way or will they e-mail with your decision and send a letter through snail mail?

^ I’m pretty sure you’ll get your decision by email, and the official letter by snail mail…an email saying “we sent it” would be a bit pointless… :)

Just making sure!
Colleges do stuff like that, i.e. UMich sending an e-mail like 3 days before decisions came out to tell me to be on the look out because at anytime my decision could be available! (Wasn’t able to function for a few days, haha).

Lol really? OMG I haven’t seen anything, and I’m really scared. I want this but my SAT score is only around 2100 :(

Thought I would post for my S, who applied for the Goizueta. While he is playing it cool, I know we are both eager to hear about the semi-finalist list (or finalist list, however they are handling it this year). Am hoping very much to hear good news today, but not holding our collective breath. These things are very competitive, and you kids have done amazing things simply to get the nominations from your schools. You will all find your niche even if it is not Emory in the long run.

He is undecided about schools and did not apply ED…still wondering if that was a mistake as it applies to the Goizueta Scholarship? He just visited Emory this last weekend. The school was pretty quiet bcs of MLK weekend, so that did not help him get a good feel for the campus and it’s “vibe”.

Good Luck, everyone!

It wasn’t quiet because of MLK weekend really. It’s just that classes don’t start till tomorrow. A lot of people got back yesterday, and the rest will pretty much be coming in today.Sorry that you came at a bad time though.

Bernie 12, thanks, did not realize. It’s hard to get school visits in without missing a lot of school; our HS only allows one excused day during senior year for a college visit so we chose a long weekend, knowing it would be chancy. It’s my impression that Emory really puts a lot of emphasis on visiting. True?

Ok, it is the 17th and still nothing on OPUS or in my email. Does this mean I’m OOL?

I made an account just so that I could express how nervous I am to hear from Emory! Has anybody heard anything yet? I haven’t gotten any emails or seen a change on OPUS, either.

Heyy, no need to worry just yet.
According to Emory’s webpage, we will be notified on the 22nd.

I haven’t heard anything yet. No email nor anything from OPUS. The form said “Late January”, so I’m not getting impatient yet.

FinallyMoving, this page is from last year! The 22nd this year is a sunday, not a saturday. It was delayed last year to the 22nd due to the storms.

True, very true, I thoguht it might be last years. I just saw the 2012 copy right on the bottom and assumed it was this years.
My bad.

I wasn’t going to be impatient, thinking it was late January also. Unfortunately, I stumbled upon people saying it would be the 15th, 17th, etc. and got extremely anxious.

I don’t know how I’ll survive until April rolls around.

I emailed Emory. Here was what they said: “You should be able to check your To-Do Checklist within 24 hours and see the updates.”

So results come out tomorrow and through OPUS, not email?

Wait what, that’s such a vague response. “updates?” why didn’t they just say decisions.

I don’t know broskis. call and ask?

So do you think it’ll be around noonish tomorrow then?

I’m from Charlotte, NC. I applied Emory Scholars RD. I’m not sure if I want to go to Emory because the campus isn’t exactly the intellectual feel I had hoped for, but if I got scholars everything would change. I’m a recruit for the swim team and I’ve applied to 11 schools. I got into MIT already, but financial aid is again a big deal. We’ll see what happens. I just wanna know everything SOON.
