This is what it said!

Greetings from Emory! Decision notifications for the Emory Scholars and Goizueta Scholars programs will be available online through the OPUS system after 7:00 p.m. EST tonight, Thursday, January 31. Please note, notifications will not be sent via postal mail; the decision letters are only viewable online through OPUS.

CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION ONLINE
To check your Scholars notification online, log-in to your OPUS account. On the right-side menu of your “Student Center” locate the “Communications” section. When available you will find a link for Unread Communications. Notification letters for both the Emory Scholars program and the Goizueta Scholars program will be posted here. Please note if you were nominated for both programs you will receive two separate notifications.

FIRST TIME LOG-IN
If you have not yet registered for an OPUS user name and password, you will need to do so in order to check your notification online. Get your Personal ID, Network ID and password now. When you register you will be asked for your birth date and social security number. If you do not have a social security number on file with us, follow the instructions on obtaining access without a social security number. You will be able to use the email address you submitted on your application to Emory to obtain your ID. If you have any difficulty, please contact Emory’s IT Service Desk at OPUSHELP@listserv.cc.emory.edu for information on how to proceed.

Sincerely,

I didn’t get an email either :/. What does that mean?

Did you guys get a confirmation email when you sent in the scholarship application? I don’t think I ever did.

No confirmation email after submission - maybe the school counselor got that. Just removal of some Emory Scholars-related to-do list items from OPUS.

Anybody else receive an email this afternoon?

I’ve never gotten anything from Emory, though my OPUS shows that nothing is missing… I’m just worried that I wasn’t considered for Emory scholars.

I really wonder why :(

I didn’t get the email either, nor did I ever receive a confirmation email when I submitted my application. The only email I did receive, however, was something regarding financial aid a few days ago. I honestly wouldn’t worry about it; we’ll find out soon enough anyway! Good luck to everyone!

Sounds like a good sign you got that email as not many (if not any) other people did. What are your stats? Are you a national merit semi-finalist?

Has anyone heard of actual instances in the past where not receiving email = emory scholar rejection?

I wonder if it has anything with us already having an OPUS. S20132013, did you already have one?

I got the email. Although, I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything because I know I have no chance at Emory or Goizueta Scholars.
