<p>To respond to a previous question, the 2/3 tuition scholarships are for about 100 semifinalists who don't make finalist. Everyone who makes finalist (about seventy people) will be guaranteed a full tuition scholarship. The incentive from there is to be one of the 25 who get a totally full ride.</p>

<p>Just so you know, the finalists are not guaranteed at least full tuition, but it's pretty much assumed that you will get it unless you really screw up at the weekend.</p>
<p>How much would you really have to screw up?</p>
<p>Like if you just do poorly in the interview, would that be enough to drop you down?</p>

<p>Regarding the question about being guaranteed a full tuition scholarship once a part of the 70, the [url=<a href="http://www.emory.edu/ADMISSIONS/content_html/2005ESFS.pdf%5Dwebsite%5B/url">http://www.emory.edu/ADMISSIONS/content_html/2005ESFS.pdf]website[/url</a>] says that of the 75 (i guess they're picking fewer than anticipated) 25 will receive full ride and 50 will receive full tuition, which pretty much means that it is guaranteed, right? The only way I could imagine that they would withdraw this assurance is if in the interview you seemed way too arrogant or wore a NAZI uniform or something.</p>
<p>On another note, it seems like for semifinalists this year they were going for a higher SAT average than 1500. Avg SAT for semifinalists so far is 1554 and GPA is 3.925.</p>
