I’m a bit disappointed. I’ve been accepted to Oxford though. I’ll wait to see if I get into Emory before I decide. But I’m leaning towards Oxford…I want to keep my car freshman/sophomore year and I really love the intimate campus feel.

I dont think anyone knows yet whether that means they just havent sent out your decision or you are not advancing in ES, but if it’s no, then you’ll get a rejection letter…i sure did! hah

I Got Into Oxford. I Haven’t Heard Back From Oxford Scholars Yet. I Believe They Only Notify Semi-finalist Through Snail Mail, But I’m Not Sure.

Scarlet.B- when you clicked on view decision, did it have two different links: one for Oxford College and the other for Emory Scholars? B/c when I try to view the decision, my acceptance letter to Oxford only shows up. I don’t know what I should click on to see Emory Scholars.

I didn’t get it either. Congrats to those who did!

I’m secretly glad, though. I got into U of Chicago, and I really want to go there, so now my family can’t pressure me to go to Emory for a scholarship. Yay! Chicago, here I come!

Does anyone know if any merit aid received as Emory semi-finalist is stacked on top of need based aid? If total cost of attending/year is $50000 and I get a need based scholarship of $25000 based on (say) an EFC of $25000. Now if as a semi-finalist, I get an award of $15000 would that mean that my family will only have to pay $10000?

yeah im pretty sure in the acceptance letter it tells people to still file their forms for financial aid because they can be combined. i would just go read over that to be sure.
