Has anyone been informed that they aren’t a finalist AND haven’t received any money? Not all semifinalists get money. I was a semifinalist and I haven’t received word from emory yet. So does that mean I didn’t get anything?

I also am a semifinalist and did not receive word. Do all Semifinalists get money? Is not knowing my status in the competition a good thing? In short, could I possibly be a Finalist or not?

I’ve never heard of anyone in the past not getting money, and the letter about “200/350” making the scholars program was exactly what they got in years past, so I BELIEVE we all get money. Hopefully the rest of us will be notified on Monday.

I really don’t know. I just figured they didn’t finish typing up all the names before it was time for them to go home, but it’s anyone’s guess. Finalists seem to have gotten emails too, so we could be getting any award…I just hope we’re getting some award, haha. Maybe we should call if we don’t hear anything on Monday? Idk…

Why are some people finding out by email and others by regular mail? Why the inconsistency? Why has Emory not notified prismatic or me of our status?

It seems that those who got liberal arts scholarships were informed by e-mail on Friday. The only person I see on this thread who got informed by snail mail is a finalist, so I bet you and prismatic are finalists and you just haven’t gotten your mail yet?
