<p>Is there a difference between being selected as a finalist as an Oxford Scholar versus a finalist for the Emory Scholars Program?</p>
<p>OMG, they must have been really tough this year.</p>
<p>bob: Maybe they just thought you wouldn’t come. That’s pretty inexplicable. You’ll certainly be accepted, but they may have thought that money may not have been enough to sway some people. I have no idea what you other guys look like on paper, but I hope some of you at least are admitted.</p>

<p>Didn’t get it. Must’ve been really competitive this year too, especially with 3200+ applicants and no semifinalist status. </p>
<p>Seems I predicted well that some people got yield protected. However, I don’t think it, in general should be “more” selective than Yale. If so, I would really worry about whether any finalists will matriculate (either that, or they’re lowering the threshold to make sure some do). </p>

<p>Nope, did not get it. 35 ACT, 4.0 GPA, committed ECs, Top 4 class rank. Super hard this year I bet!! Congrats to whoever got it tho!! Please do tell the rest of us if they said what number of total finalists they picked!</p>
