Wow. I am a scholar nominee, with the opposite stats as you. Bad EC's and good SAT. Since the average SAT score is a 1500, I would say you are out. But your EC's are incredible, so Id say you have a 5% chance.

well i cant say for sure, i dont think anyone knows exactly how they choose the people they do but compare your stats to the other emory scholars forum, all of us are trying to be one :)

hey prashanth LOL this is anita...yeahhhhh i know this post is way old after u posted it but yeah i was bored and on the emory boards and saw woodlandskid and was like hmmmm whose that and i clicked on it and hahaha its you! funny stuff anyways i think u have a good chance of being an emory scholar woo-hoo good luck!!!!!

LOL. That's funny Anita. My friend Randy told me about this site and then I looked at all the ridiculously smart people on here and then I decided to see if anyone would reply to my thing. But i guess not many replied to it. I bet you'll get in too. Maybe I'll see u at Emory. :)

you got a 4 on spanish lit?
wow....im ****in impressed, not gonna lie
i got a 2 last year and my friend got a 1!
as for scholars, no idea....just had to say wow

prashanth...yeah, all the people on this site are insanely smart. it depresses me and makes me think i have no chance whatsoever with this type of competition. when do u find out if u got in scholars or not? i find out if i get accepted by feb 1. the clock is ticking...haha. anyways, yeah well i'll keep my fingers crossed for you. also, LOL, daisy444 that really cracks me up, woodlands kid definitely is not referring to woodlands hotels in india. i didnt even know there was such a thing. it's the woodlands, texas.

semifinalist notification for semifinalists comes out in late January (SO close...i'm getting SO nervous!!!) and if you are one of the 350 semis, you are admitted into Emory whether you move on to become a finalist or not. If you are not chosen as a semi, then you have to wait until your decision date (RD or ED II)

does anyone know the admit rate of the scholars nominees in general? like how many of the 2000 applications to the program get admitted to emory (whether designated scholar or not)?
