<p>Your son looks like a great candidate for an Emory Scholar. I suggest that you try to add some national awards to your son's portfolio. Try the Discover Tribute Award (the deadline in 1/31/08) so hurry. You should also check out some other scholarships, I use the ScholarshipMentor site.</p>

<p>I think it's because of the search function. I'm tempted to do the same thing whenever I search "Emory Scholars" and browse until I notice the threads are years old. But these threads are extremely helpful, especially when looking at last year's scholars results, when certain things were mailed out, when OPUS was updated etc. Basically all those things the college never tells you (e.g., 'will be released in late January, early February') you can learn from past threads.</p>
