Emory scholarships and SCEA

Application deadline to be considered for Emory scholars is Nov 15. Is this still considered as an application for RD? Because it falls in between ED1 and ED2 deadlines

I would like to take my chances in Princeton's SCEA, but they are very restrictive, so I can only apply RD to other private schools.

Any help will be much appreciated

You will probably have to contact Princeton. Applying for the Emory Scholars program is not binding; it is not early action; but it may be considered an “early” application by Princeton.

It’s just considered rd unless you check the ED box so you should be fine!!

will it be there higher chance to be an emory scholar if apply as ED ?

Read Princeton’s fine print, but others who applied early to other elite schools (Stanford, Johns Hopkins, etc) also applied to Notre Dame, Univ Southern California and Boston College before their respective scholarship deadlines in November/December.

My son applied last year for the Emory Scholars and still applied EA to other schools- he didn’t apply SCEA, but on the Common App, he clearly indicated that he was applying to Emory RD. As long as you are not applying ED1 or ED2, then you shouldn’t have any problems applying SCEA.
