Emory transfer chances 2013

<p>Just wondering if any one could chance me as a transfer student for fall 2013</p>

<p>hs:
3.01 gpa my grades really fell at the end of my senior year once i got a job but i still graduated cum laude
president of computer science club, involved with theater, volunteer weekly at local farmer's market</p>

<p>college:
i attend a top 55 college and will be of sophomore status in 2013-2014
3.75 gpa physics major i also intend to declare in psych i took 18 credits both semesters and have fulfilled many of emory's GERs
i am in one of my universities residential based honor societies( it is based on leadership) japan club, physics society,WISE and I have an on campus job</p>

<p>i am a female URM and i do not know if this helps or hurts but i was 16 when i graduated high school and started college </p>

<p>i want to go to emory because they offer a major in physics and astronomy which my school does not</p>

<p>also a few questions: Do my chances of acceptance increase if i apply in the summer as opposed to fall?</p>

<p>If I am accepted as a transfer will I still be required to do Freshman Seminar?</p>

<p>I know I can waive my high school records if i have 50 credit hours or more. Does this include AP credit?</p>

<p>Do your chances of acceptance significantly decrease if you do not transfer from OXford</p>

<p>you’ll get in for fall, your stats are fine. yes, even your high school record (mine was worse and i got in with 40 credits). also, freshman seminar is waived.</p>

<p>Oxford students automatically continue rather than transfer. As a result, Oxford continuees are not included in transfer admissions stats.</p>

<p>thank you both for your responses! @mkd313 how was it transferring for you as far as getting to know people, picking housing, etc.?</p>

<p>Just curious- Did you end up being accepted to Emory? If you have, did you attend? I am applying for fall 2014, and your stats are similar to mine, just hoping to find some answers. Please let me know! </p>
