@Klbfl10404 You really should create your own thread (highjacking is rude), but I’ll answer none the less. There are sexual assaults on any college campus- this is not a recent problem and not a problem with UR. However, UR is much safer in my experience than most other schools. The reason the numbers may look higher is because students feel comfortable reporting their assaults- this is a good thing, not a bad thing.

We have excellent sexual assault training as part of orientation. We receive bystander training and accounts of actual events that happened on campus. There are also very highly regarded safety programs, anti-sexual assault programs, and survivor programs.
