@eveylol just go to Emory class of 2015 and there will be a post reading congratulations to everyone accpeted ED 2

@hopeful thanks. I am just so happy.:)))) u r accepted to emory college too right?

Not sure what more I could have done. I am basically a straight A student, great scores, interesting essay etc etc. My college counselor begged me to apply to apply to an IVY and I did, but choose to do ED2 @ Emory because everything about it just felt right. I am crushed. I so did not expect this…
The truth is I felt that I would get an Ivy education without all the hype, elitist egos and ******** that goes on at places like Princeton and Penn. My older brother is a senior at Penn and I have a step sister who graduated Princeton 6 years ago.
My brother has complained about the lack of community and the over abundance of arrogant and spoiled, simply not that smart kids. My step sister drank her way through college and has not done much with her life.
When I visited a friend at Emory last year, I was completely knocked out by how pleasant everyone was… the professors were very available, the students were low key, interesting and erudite. Everyone seemed happy… ha, my dream school.
I am destroyed.
Congratulations to all that won a spot!

@akfhkwk - I think you are an international (possibly korean?) student, judging by your ID.

I haven’t heard from Emory yet and I also have “no new announcements”

I think it’s an international student thing

I’m an international student, but I heard from them on time. You should probably try and email them or something

@PAMORIGINAL you are wailisted, not rejected. I am including you in my prayers. I was rejected by NYU for ED1. NYU meant the world to me. I mean, you still have a chance. DON’T GIVE UP:)

Congratulations to all accepted RD2ers. See 'yall next year! :D

@PAMORIGINAL

I chose to Early Decide for a lot of the reasons you just stated, and now that I’m here, I see that my beliefs about Emory are very true.

Try writing to the admissions office and state basically everything you just posted (only remove the word “Ivy.”) Emory really cares about demonstrated interest, and in this respect you already have one up on all of the others who will get waitlisted RD. If Emory is truly the perfect school for you, and you let them know that…who knows what could happen?

Thank you all for your kind words… I am a little more together this morning (ha, the morning after)… I am so sorry if I sounded so bleak in my post, I really appreciate all the lovely responses.

accepted (: hell. yes.

Congratulations to all the accepted students!!
Can’t wait to see you guys soon :)

Congrats everyone!! Can’t wait to meet you guys :)

PS, anyone from Texas here?

I am so psyched… Emory here I come. My dad graduated from Emory way back when. He still has school spirit, I really don’t get the hype about no school spirit. I applied ED2 only because my mom went to Harvard and wanted me to apply there. I just couldn’t see myself freezing for the next 4 years. Maybe that is a lame reason, but I also wanted a normal college experience or shall I say, balanced. Everyone I know at Emory is super happy, they go onto amazing grad schools and do very unique things with their lives. I am so excited… Atlanta, here I come!

Congratulations to all from ED2!! See you all in the fall…soon, haha!

You mean your counselor sent the mid-year through common app? Or fax it? I just asked my counselor to submit it on common app and he said that Emory had downloaded it. So does that mean they receive my report?
