I can say that the kids I know of who are applying RD to Emory this year from our HS are absolute superstars and there are a lot that are applying after being rejected or deferred from Ivies.
Defintely! emory has turned into a school that kids who want to go to Ivies now look at as viable options
I avoid “chancing” because even “superstars” will often not got in. I just tell what part may help or hurt. You never know. We aren’t adcoms.
@emorynavy : It is an automatic reach for most wealthy folks too, perhaps unless they are not domestic.

Looks like March 22 last year, but that really doesn’t answer your question. Website says by April 1.
Does anyone know if Emory will send Scholars applicants an email telling them about when the decisions will come out? In previous discussions for Emory Scholars, they said they got an email in the last week of January telling them the date that the decision will come out in February (last year it was February 8). Also it says on the website that the decision will be out by the end of February. I’m just getting antsy haha!

Hi squad. Does anyone know what time Emory will release ED 2 decisions? I applied from Europe, so I need to see if I need to stay up or not. I know ED 1 was out at 6:00 PM eastern time.
They seem to always have the decisions come out at 6pm EST. Regardless they email about a week before with all the details. I would think you’ll get something this week.

Any other interesting Info: Significant family responsibility as both my siblings are 7+ years younger than me, youngest brother diagnosed with autism my sophomore year and I had to take time off from ECs to help him learn basic things (eating by himself, tying shoes, simple ABCs)… I talked about this in my additional information section + Upward Trend + I believe I took the most challenging curriculum offered at my high school + I was very close with the teachers I asked for LORs so I HOPE they came out well LOL

I think it was February 8th last year. Not even a thought in this house, happy to just be in!
