That’s actually not flattering by Forbes since Emory ranks ahead of all but the top 3 in most national rankings.
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
While @MaineLonghorn specifically mentioned Brown, one can insert the name of any college other than Emory in her previous statement.
The primary (but not exclusive) purpose of this thread is for HS students (and their parents) to discuss the Emory application process/why Emory. The mods give a lot of leeway on these Class of XX type threads, so there are a lot of rampling, Walter Mitty-esqe posts, which is fine. That said, the purpose of this thread is not to engage in debate about where Emory ranks on any list. Stick to topic please.

Did you end up getting to Emory??
@captamer ^^^
@elena13 No, no prior communication has been sent.
hey!
has anyone emailed the school about the scholarship notification date? also, will we get an email even if we have been rejected for the scholarship?
Thanks!
@screennameMJ888 I honestly wouldn’t bother them with it. They’ve already said decisions will be out by March 1st and god knows they are busy enough already. I’m not sure if we’ll receive emails if rejected, but we can probably gather from others getting acceptance emails. Wishing you the best!
Everyone got an interview? No interview offered means less chance of being accepted?? My D hasn’t gotten yet for RD …
@singingbear Emory does not interview a lot of applicants. The percentage is very low. Interviews are random. Don’t worry about it.
The alumni interview program cannot reach out to everyone who applies and it’s concentrated near certain cities as well. I know that they are trying to expand the program and they do it better than so many other colleges, but the program is still growing out.
in the past years, the dates have been 9th February and earlier. any idea what’s going on this year??
thanks!
has anyone tried calling the office of admissions and asking when scholarship emails are being sent out?
Is it true that RD decisions will be out by 2/15? Read it on their website but am I looking at the wrong page?
Where on the website did you find this?
RD says by 4/1. It was ED2 that was by 2/15.
Scholar notifications will be released on Wednesday, February 20th at 6 pm. Emory just posted this update on their website
Hi. Where did you see this posted on their website? I sent them an e mail and just received this response a few minutes ago; “Thank you for your message and interest in Emory University! An e-mail will be sent out within the upcoming weeks regarding the interviews through e-mail, which will notify the student if they have been selected”.
@SwimSwam12 It’s posted on the Emory Admissions Instagram and Facebook pages.
@striving123 Thanks for letting us know! Also note that the post says all students that applied will be emailed later today!
