Thanks, all. Logged into the Applicant portal, on the applicant status page and… nothing! I was accepted to BC and I know that some applicants (1%) did not get their decisions same day as everyone else bc they were still under review. Called Emory admissions and left a message, but I think it is a glitch. I shall wait it out!

Rejected… 1510 SAT, 770 math II, 10 APs (max i could take at my school), 4.6 GPA Junior/Senior year, Started entrepreneurship club where we raised $2000 in two weeks for Relay for Life, American Legion Boys State Treasurer, Class Treasurer, NHS Treasurer, math league, student gov, relay for life, only kid at my school to take pre calc freshman year, Top 3% of class (don’t rank), started own business with over 400 transaction and 10k rev and 2k profit in a year, Varsity Letter in 5 sports, multiple state championships soccer and golf, compete in autocross racing, good recommendations, thought great essays, around 100 volunteer hours… and not even waitlisted guess its because im a non legacy, non first generation white male go figure system is complete BS i’m ironically normally very humble but am extremely upset atm because i was really expecting to get in…

Honestly, I’m really confused on why I was rejected… My scores and GPA are above average and my extracurriculars are unusual (national awards, published in the NYT, etc, work part time for a well known magazine). My essays were pretty great (I’m a writer / journalist after all)… I’m pretty worried now, since I’ve only been accepted into three of my safety schools (this is my first rejection). Anyone with a similar situation ??
EDIT: I go to a well known ish prep school in NY… Perhaps the competition was too tough for my school/area??

Accepted into Emory College of Arts and Sciences! I’m half Hispanic and half Vietnamese and didn’t get the email last night about Essence of Emory, so I was really worried! If you’re an URM and didn’t get the email, don’t worry 
Wait listed international. I’m wondering why would they wait list me even though I’m asking for so much financial aid? I heard that Emory doesn’t actually give any significant aid to international students.

@blairebabe Yeah, I’m in a somewhat similar situation. My scores are also high but little bit lower than your’s (2240 old SAT). I have a 3.9 UW GPA and am top 3% of my class. I wouldn’t worry too much though, because I’ve been accepted to other good / comparable schools, like Boston College honors program. I guess every school just looks for different things
