Emory University Transfer Thread Fall 2019

I know USC has done a great job of keeping its campus safe and even the immediate surrounding area. It will never be like the Emory Druid Hills area, but many also complain about Emory Village being kind of dead. Each university has and outstanding business school, but if you are planning a career in the LA area, Emory cannot provide the type of network or opportunities that USC can.

@ljberkow I agree with you! It also depends on where I want to land after graduation. However, I am leaning towards completing MBA after one or two years of work after undergraduate. Therefore, I do not think it matters that much in where I finish undergraduate.

However, the USC alumni network may affect me, as most likely I want to work in the Bay/LA area.

Hey guys, did anyone happen to know when will Emory release their admission decisions?

@kcasssuu Anytime this month. The website states “by April 30th”. Good luck.

Last year it was on the 25th I believe so hopefully sometime around then

I guess we have to wait till April 20ish for the decision. Stay patient!

We should get an email few days before the decision release

Did everyone get the email from Emory? about the decision release date. I’m so excited to hear back lol

I got an email that says the decision will be released on next Wednesday. Fingers crossed.

@SMSNYAL yup, April 24th at 3pm EST

Decision notifications for Fall 2018 transfer applicants will be available online through the Applicant Portal on Wednesday, April 24, at 3:00 pm ET.

They typed the wrong term. It supposed to be “Fall 2019” transfer applicants.

haha, true

got the email. the typo was hilarious. so anxious about the result though

Good luck! You guys shouldn’t be worried. I only have a 3.71 GPA and I am from Pepperdine. I am applying as a junior to Emory.

god bless me

Just asking a silly question, how hard is it to transfer to Emory?

good luck guys. Hope we get in

@kcasssuu Top 25 level. Slightly easier to get in than USC and UCLA, but slightly harder than top 30 schools such as NYU and Tufts University.

Good luck.

@sagaciousforever bit tufts do have a much much lower acceptance rate… is it easier to get into Tufts?

Hey guys, I’ve been a long time lurker but thought I’d post since we all probably received an e-mail stating that decisions come out soon :).
