Emory vs Boston College vs Villanova Business

Transfer student.
All money equal...

Which is the best school for business and overall educational experience?

Also, I live in northeast, so that's where I will live after college as well.

Final note: distance IS a factor for me. So going to Emory is a big step. However, if Emory is significantly better, than I will most likely go there.

I don’t know about the other schools you’re applying to, but Emory does not accept direct transfers into the business school. If you do not get a 3.5+ at Emory in your first year, you’re going to have a hard time getting into the business school. On one of your other threads, you were debating whether to stay at your CC for another year. If you’re trying to do business, I wouldn’t go in that direction.

Emory’s business school is ranked significantly higher than Boston College’s, but I don’t know what to suggest if you want to live in the northeast (granted, it seems like everyone at Emory is from NY, NJ, or China–and everyone seems to go to NY or NJ afterwards).

If you do decide to come here, feel free to PM me for advice on the curriculum here.

I’ve heard that as a transfer the business school also looks at your previous institution information (considering they only are looking at one semester at Emory as you are applying for the bschool.)

BC’s CSOM is very well connected on the East Coast but it takes few transfer students. I don’t know about Villanova’s transfer policies. Good luck

They’ll likely hold your application until they have your grades in the second semester. (So, if you went to Emory or a school like Emory [such as UNC-CH’s business school], spending another year at your CC would mean you would still need three years at Emory.)

That’s why I am transferring now so I don’t have to repeat
