Emory vs UF

These are two very different schools, an elite private with $53K a year tuition vs a LARGE comprehensive public university that charges in-state kids $6.3K a year. That’s going to lead to much smaller classes, better student to faculty ratio’s, etc, at Emory vs UF. If $ isn’t an issue, and it offers the right programs, that’s makes a strong case for Emory.

The “experience” will also be very different. It’s a medium size private college in an urban setting (Atlanta) vs a large public university in a college town (Gainesville).

UF offers far more programs than Emory. For a lot of kids, Emory isn’t even an option as it doesn’t offer their major. For several other majors, like Finance, Accounting, Nursing, it’s going to be hard to make the case that Emory is that much better based on outcomes (other than the reason’s listed above).
