Hi, I was accepted to Emory and didn’t apply to Oxford. Right now I am trying to decide between the University of Florida and Emory, both of which have been dream schools for me. I didn’t receive any aid from Emory but would be able to go to UF for free, and I plan to major in business (not sure what aspect yet, probably management.) Any advice in making this decision would be appreciated.
You should discuss this with your parents and not strangers on a message board who don’t know your family’s financial situation.
“and didn’t apply to Oxford” ???
Does this mean that you were only admitted to the Oxford campus ?
Regardless, UF for free is the easy choice in your situation–unless you received substantial financial aid from Emory.
Congrats on two great acceptances.
Both are excellent schools, but if you are talking full price at Emory vs. free at UF, I would go for UF.
If you think you might lean towards finance at some point and you don’t know about this program already, check out the joint BA-BA/MSF in Finance program at UF that you can complete in four years.
Pretty impressive program, no guarantees of course that you will be admitted after second year of undergrad, but interesting nonetheless for top students making their decisions on where to go undergrad.

All other things being equal (and I know they never are) I’d go to UF for free over full pay Emory unless ~$300K is truly a rounding error in your family’s finances. Good luck deciding!
