U-M :: The Career Center :: For Students :: Med School Application

Michigan is right around where it should be. Emory's rate is flat out embarrassing.

thanks norcalguy,
how'd you get this info? in other words, what should I type in google to get same info for other colleges?

Go the school you like better. Where you feel more at home is where you'll thrive, get good grades, and subsequently get into med school. (Often these %s can be distored by schools weeding out prospective med school applicants, e.g., making Organic Chem next to impossible, then the school weeds out many students, and those that survive get into med school, boosting the school's overall med school acceptance rate. Another factor w/ Michigan may mean that these mostly Michigan residents have an easier time getting into UM, MSU whichhad a MD and DO program, or Wright, than the Emory students in general. The lucky state to be from is Texas, where most state residents find a state school to accept them along w/ low tuition...)

charlie, elaborate more on the texas thing plz lol
