Hi. I'm an international student planning to major in business, possibly accounting or finances. It's getting so near to the deadline May 1st but I'm still struggling between Emory and UVa because the business programs in both universities are attractive to me. I'm also admitted into UVa as an Echols Scholar and I'm just wondering how will this program help me if I choose UVa...

Well..I really wanna go to the campuses and experience but the Pacafic Ocean is a big problem, so hope can get some more ideas from people living in the US about Emory and UVa, especially about the whole atmosphere and the business schools.....Thx so much!

Businessweek.com and rankings:

UVA = #1

^ what halopower said.

I think you can only get into the UVa business school after your sophomore year, though … I’m not exactly sure how the whole system works.

UVa’s campus is really nice … I hear the food is questionable at best, though.

Emory is more diverse I believe, but UVa has great lacrosse and the whole big school atmosphere. Emory is higher ranked overall, but lower in business (still top 10 tho)…

I’d choose UVa just because I like the idea of it.

thanks everyone :)

actually UVa attracts me with its outstanding business school and the honor program opportunity but Emory’s diversity is what I will enjoy…yeah of course and the smaller classes a private college can offer.

by the way, both business schools begin in the third year.

Emory’s quietly one of the premier business schools in the county, but UVA is the new big star

which of the two schools do u think would provide me with better opportunities after graduation?
