This is the official page for those who got waitlisted for Emory class of 2022. Does anyone know the waitlist statistics of the past few years?

“Be eager and creative, but not scary or desperate. There’s a fine line between admirable persistence and stalking. Most admissions officers say students can help their causes by obeying the school’s instructions and perhaps sending one well-written letter updating their achievements and explaining why they still should be admitted. Creative stunts can sometimes help. Jean Jordan, dean of admissions at Emory, remembers admitting a student who rewrote the words of the school song to argue her cause. But Jordan’s pretty tired of getting mailed shoes from students who “want to get their foot in the door” and is a little leery of any gift of food. “Don’t come down here and make a big plea; and hounding us can be superdestructive,” she adds.”

Do’s and Don’ts from admissions officers on getting off the wait list
ehh…Emory usually does not take hardly anyone off, so I guess hardly nothing hurts as long as it follows the rules and doesn’t look like a material or monetary bribery. That has already been indirectly taken into account in admissions lol. Humble intellectual bribery seems to be more productive and is just a lot less slimy.
@bernie12 What about dressing up as Dooley and showing up at admissions singing the Emory Eagles fight song?

I wish them the best, but they doin’ too much! lol.
@VANDEMORY1342 If I go to the link:https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-university-search/emory-university,
I can’t seem to find the waitlist stats. I recon that emory rarely takes anyone off, but still curious. Do I need to have a login to the collegeboard to see it? Other schools have common data set and I can get some ideas. Thanks.
Someone posted some data that looked like 3% come off. The weird thing about an Emory waitlist is that some were admitted to Oxford and waitlisted at Emory. You would think those would get first shot at Emory and waitlist would then be offered Oxford, but I have no idea and little idea how Oxford works, let alone a tiered Emory/Oxford waitlist.
@GammaDelta
Click the link, to the upper left hand side it says “applying” click that. There you will find admissions stats at the first half of the page. 41 out of 2992, however I think this is only for Emory college and not Oxford.
Emory and Oxford have separate admissions staff and decide independent of each other. I would guess the waitlists are separate as well. Last year Oxford didn’t go to its waitlist at all. They have enrolled 2 big classes in a row there.
Has Emory given anyone an idea of when waitlist decisions will be released? Or if they’ll be sending “likely” emails soon
Has anyone been accepted/denied off the waitlist yet?
@collegesavant1 I was waitlisted too and wondering the same thing. I had to put down a deposit for another school today. Still hoping to hear from Emory but not holding my breath, either.
Hey Guys! So I was admitted to Oxford College, but I was looking forward to being part of a big community. I havent deposit yet, and the deadline is tomorrow. Im probably going to another U. Does someone have info about Emory’s yield this year?
@intstudent19384 : That seems as if it should be irrelevant and there is no way to know. They won’t even know until after tomorrow. Gone ahead and commit to the other place. I just don’t see why yield of any year would play into your decision.
@intstudent19384 I had the same situation and decided to commit to UVA. Still on the Emory College waitlist though
I gave up my spot at Oxford. Still hoping on Emory College!
