Emory?

I am currently a Junior but am starting to narrow down the colleges I'll be looking at. Emory is high on my list since I used to live in Atlanta, and I would like to move back there. I also have legacy there (my father (public health) and cousin (law) both went there) and I might consider ED. Any input would be great.

I go to one of the top 50 High Schools as ranked by Newsweek (in subrurban New York)
My school does not report rank, only deciles.
Moved to America from India at age 5.

2080 SAT, 680 verbal, 710 math. 690 writing, (11essay)
SAT II: Math IC - 750, Bio - 720, plan to take Lit, maybe chem.
Also plan to take ACTs (June 11th)

NHS

Debate Club
Tri-M (music honor society)

Starting 4 week internship at financial firm in July. (plan to go into business/finance)
I would take some economics courses but my school does not offer them. (except for the mandatory 1/2yr course.)

My counselor says I have a good chance with ED, but I would appreciate any thoughts you have.

-Thanks

you sound like me, except you have the legacy and moved from india things goin for you
were you in those clubs all 4 yrs, and were you president of any of them?
id say you have an alright shot. with ED, legacy, urm (right?) status, and those stats, you have as much a chance as i did...and im here

You have a decent shot. GO FOR IT! You should also take a shot at Emory Scholars.

Thanks for the respones.
I was in all the clubs since 9th grade except for Debate club.
Unfortunately I'm not president of any of them, but I am an officer in all except Debate.

You seem to have a wonderful chance of getting in.
