Emphasis of the science section ACT?

I'm just wondering

which ACT sections are the most important

from what i'm hearing, English + Math is considered most important. If so, I'm ecstatic

36 English
35 Math

then

31 Reading

then

28 science <---------------- how much emphasis is put on this section

bumpp

--------------------------------123

I’m pretty sure that there is no section of the ACT considered more or less important…

I’m pretty sure that they are all weighted equally. They primarily look at your comp score.

How your scores are interpreted will depend in part on the major field you are interested in.

Talk to your guidance counselor about what scores like yours have meant for students at your HS in the past.

There are many colleges that consider the math and English section the more important. There are none I am aware of that consider the science section more important than any others. There are some colleges (GTech and Rose-Hulman are two examples) that use only the math and English section for admission and ignore composite, reading, and science (yes, those engineering schools ignore the science section).
