employers care about transcript?

I'm a junior economics major at a top 25 school. I have done two internships so far for the same fortune 500 company: finance and internal consulting.

I have a good resume--I have leadership roles, experience, a 3.5 gpa, and I attend a good school. My one flaw is my transcript.....

I have taken accounting classes at community college, I have taken a few courses pass/fail, and I have taken a lot of my "tougher" classes outside of the school that I attend (I took them at a neighboring public school).

Is this going to be a problem when I am looking for an internship for next summer? I'm interested in the top finance jobs btw.

If they ask for a transcript, yes, it could be a red flag.

Or they just want to verify your gpa and confirm that you have taken the needed classes, regardless of where you have taken them

Depends on the employer. I’d guess that most won’t care about the transcipt, and even then, that most wouldn’t care about taking them outside of your university.
