Employment & Grad School

I am very interested in GT and UMich Industrial Engineering programs, but split over which one to choose (I have not applied, but I am confident in acceptance). Can anyone tell me which school will give more oppurtunity after undergrad school? Are they equal? Any information would help me choose.

GT has the #1 industrial engineering program in the nation. However, Michigan is not that far off, it is on par with GT. I suggest you visit both schools and decide where you want to live for 4-5 years.

Both are excellent schools for IE and will offer plenty of opportunities. Let me ask you, do you prefer cold weather or warm weather?

Weather isn't a factor. I have lived in the South (LA) and in the North (PA), so I am indifferent.

for the topic title
grad school isn't the best choice for anyone. It's not always that you get a master / a phD and u'll be better off than someone with a BS degree. For example you can work right after you graduated. Instead of paying tons of money for a master degree, you can work and during that 2 years ur salary will be comparable, if not better than a master degree graduate. You have 2 years of experience + 2 years of money and the other guy had to pay 2 years of graduate school debt. So choose wisely.

GT is slightly better than Michigan in engineering. For grad school definitely choose GT, nice weather, atlanta, great program ...

If weather is not a factor, I think you will do well at either school.
