EN and delay in 2nd quarter grades

Our midterms were completed 1 week ago but 2nd quarter grades have still not been released and therefore not forwarded to the admissions office. Do you think that this is going to affect my status as an EN applicant?

Mid Year Reports typically arrive throughout the month of February. These MYR’s will NOT hold up your application. As an EN applicant, you might even receive an admissions decision before we actually receive the mid year grades.

February 15th is quickly approaching…

TSocash – Thanks so much for the fast response. I think your involvement in this process is amazing and greatly appreciated.

What does it mean when an application has been read by only the first reader and then passed on to the committee review? Nobody is listed as the second reader?

John - I’m just doing my best to live up to my predecessor, Mike Conklin, on these boards. I’m glad to bring the quick answers and facts, and I’m thankful for the five or six UR parents on these boards who bring their knowledge to the discussions.

Strawberry - Are you in Stage 4 on your myroc account? If so, you’ve already been reviewed by a Second Reader. We only list the contact info of the first reader on the myroc account, which explains why you aren’t seeing anyone listed as the second reader.

An application only moves on to Committee once it has been read by 2 readers, so there is nothing to worry about.

strawberry–it likely means that your application has been read by a second reader and has already been sent on to the committee for its final review/decision. It’s not a prognostication of acceptance or rejection. Nor does it mean your application skipped a step. It just means it moved onto committee before your MYROC account could be updated to indicate it was with a second reader. (Like maybe it was on the top of a pile of applications. Remember at this time of year things are moving pretty quickly.)

Thanks everyone. It just seemed a little off. I’m still worried as no mail yet even though applied EN :(((
