MY TOP SCHOOLS SO FAR (No Order)
- Notre Dame
- Penn State at University Park (Double Legacy)
- University of Virginia
- Indiana University
- Wisconsin
- U of Texas at Austin
- UNC Chapel Hill

Please give me any feedback on the schools I have chosen and recommend any others that you feel may fit.

As of right now I plan on applying to penn state with an sat scores of reading:590 math:620 writing:560 and honestly I feel pretty confident considering the kids who usually get in at my school.
@bman4jets sounds good, are you applying to main campus??

@redhuntinghat thanks for the feedback, I guess at this point its more of an “Am I On The Right Track” kind of post.

@bman4jets are you in state, and whats your UW?

@redhuntinghat

“Accurately chance” yeeeah…

I don’t wanna say “get a 2000 for your list”, I’m gonna say, jsut do it, do the best you can, then chances will come.

You have great EC’s and with all honors, I assume your weighted to be above 4.0? But if you want to go those schools , Notre Dame for example you need 2100-2200 on your SAT to be competitive. Next year, try your best to get a 4.0 unweighted GPA, it’ll make up for the low UW in 9th and 10th. Keep up with your EC’s, continue what you are doing but don’t let them interfere with academics, OK?

@AznSkyDragon only APs factor into the Weighted GPA, I have only taken 2 so far. By the end of Junior year I will have taken 5 APs (AP Statistics, AP Physics, AP US History, AP Biology, and AP World History), so yes I do believe my W GPA will be a 4.0 or near it. Thanks for the help.

bump 10char

bump 10char

@collegeeager I am applying to main. I am in state. And I’m not really sure about by gpa. I know I have a 96.9% weighted gpa but that’s about it.

oh ok thats good to hear, thanks.

bump bump bump

If you are out of state for UVA, you’ll need to raise your GPA to at least a 4.0 UW. UVA is REALLY hard on OOS, and extremely kind to in-state.

It’s on my list as well…so I’ve done some research.

Best of luck.

SAT Score to Aim for?

2400.

ND: 2100+
Penn State: 1850
UVA: 2100+
UNC: 2100+
Texas: 2000+

@AverageJosephine Thanks for the help

@teen thanks
