So, finals week is this week, and the worst semester of my high school career is coming to a close. I'm a junior, by the way, and my GPA has always been above a 4, but after having missed over 20 days of school this year (I got really sick) my grades are not what they should be. I'm anticipating a high B (APUSH), possibly low B/high C (Physics), and then even worse in the hardest class I've ever taken (honor analysis). Is this something a counselor can explain on my recommendation? I'm expecting only an upward trend after this, but I'm horrified of how this one semester will look on my transcript when I apply to competitive colleges in.. oh god.. one year.

yeah...cept im a senior and on top of the fighting to get good grades I moved to my school a month into the new school year so they're having to make special tests for me and i'm about to move again! >.< so much stress! I have the stress of "am I even going to get accepted?" haning over me right now to top EVERYTHING off lol

i'd ask your counselor...20 days of school is a month, so it would be miraculous if your grades weren't hurt by it. Try to talk to your teachers, as well--most will probably help you about this semester if they know you are a hard worker, etc.

AP Physics is a female dog, I totally sympathize. I have my final tomorrow. I need an 86% to keep my A... An 86! It's nigh on impossible! Right now I'm so wiped out from studying all weekend that my brain is fried.

Add to that my AP Calculus final right after that (which I need an 83 in) and I'm screwed!

But anyways, I think most of us feel this way at some point. Just keep your chin up. You'll be fine.
