End of the Year Gifts! Yes or No?

Well, i'm a junior and I was wondering if it is appropriate to give my teachers something small ( like a little bag of Lindt truffles and a thank you card) to express my appreciation for them.

However, I may be asking some of them for recommendations next year, and I don't want them to get the wrong idea. But then again each bag of chocolate will only cost like $3, so it's not like i'm trying to bribe them with some huge, fancy present.

What should I do? Thoughts? Advice? Thanks.

Forget the chocolates - a sincere thank you card will be valued more than anything else.

Check back in the archives because there have been a couple of threads like this recently.

Why don't you try to bake something? By showing that you took the time and effort to bake something will probably be more appreciated than store bought chocolates. Accompany them with a a sincere thank-you note. That will definitely make a teacher smile.
