Well I guess the most pertinent question of this topic would be does UMD require the end of the year transcripts? And assuming that is yes, how much will it affect scholarships? Am I correct in thinking that UMD cannot rescind a scholarship offer based off the final transcript?

I’m assuming they want final grades but does anyone know if they want mid year?

No, they don’t.

I believe that UMD can rescind scholarships or admission decisions based on your final transcript. You’d probably have to have gotten D’s or F’s, but yes, it has happened. (sorry!)

almost all schools, including maryland require an end of the year transcript.

don’t send a mid year transcript to maryland unless they specifically ask you to.

Okay, well that’s a relief. The worst I’ve gotten so far this year was a very low B, nothing as drastic as a D or an E. I was just worried because I have had 3 A’s and 4 B’s both quarters so far, which is far below the 6 A’s 1 B average I had going the previous years.

A D one quarter wouldn’t kill me would it? My GPA for the year is a good 3 points higher than my Cumulative, but…yeah, I had an issue in that class.

Oh, my schools is a 100 point scale. Before somebody says I’m lying :P

Will they be looking at the mid yr transcript if we sent but already accepted …

I just got off the phone from a person from Undergrad Admissions. They said that they don’t want an end of the year report.

U heard that too. How us that possible.

my friend is currently a freshman at umcp and he said he didn’t send his final transcript last yr and had no problem at all…

I don’t think they want a final transcript. So graduate and you’re cool.

EVERY research/internship application I sent out for this summer (after freshman year) required my HS transcript, so make sure you don’t stop running before the finish line :)
